Grants for Roman Explorers Programs
ES STUDENTS GET A TASTE OF LATIN & THE ANCIENT ROMAN WORLD
Roman Explorers is a half-day outreach program in which elementary school students delve into the Latin language, Roman culture, ancient mythology, and English word study based on Latin roots. The program helps to strengthen academic knowledge and better prepare students to meet standards and to succeed on assessments. Experienced and award-winning faculty who have spearheaded the drive to incorporate Classics in the elementary grades serve as the instructors, working with a tried-and-true curriculum. Thanks to the support of Ascanius and Excellence Through Classics, we are able to offer several Roman Explorers programs free of charge to schools in rural and urban areas, as well as to schools in select other areas of the country.
