Roman Explorations: Meet the Instructors


 
Mr. Matthew D. Webb
Director, Roman Explorations

Matthew holds a Master's Degree in Teaching Latin and Classical Humanities. He teaches Latin and Classical studies to middle and high school students in central New Hampshire, and is the Director of Teacher Programs for Ascanius: The Youth Classics Institute. In addition to having studied in Rome himself, Matthew has led several study tours to Rome with students and adults since 2004. He has brought Latin and Classical studies to elementary schoolers for over a decade, and has delivered numerous presentations on incorporating Classical studies at the K-8 levels, while also authoring or editing several publications on the subject.


 
Mr. Kevin S. Jefferson
Assistant Director, Roman Explorations

Kevin is the Director of Student Programs for Ascanius: The Youth Classics Institute. He has experience developing innovative teaching materials, and serving as both a teacher and administrator at Ascanius' summer enrichment camps for elementary school children.
