Product Description:

Alpha is for Anthropos: The Coloring Book provides a hands-on way to interact with the illustrations in the book and may be considered the workbook for the curriculum. In this paperback version, the red-figure drawings are reproduced in black and white for children to color however they like: younger children with crayons and older children with colored pencils. This activity is the perfect accompaniment for listening to stories from Greek mythology and will deepen students' sense of the unique visual vocabulary of Greek vase painting.

Review of Alpha is for Anthropos

"My experience in using [the songs] with my students has been thoroughly successful - and, moreover, adds to their pleasure in learning what is often a daunting language. ... The illustrations completely enhance the verses for children, and offer chances to tell versions of the myths to curious little ones. ... In short, this is a beautifully produced, charming, engaging, and fun introduction to Ancient Greek. Alpha is for Anthropos should be a welcome addition to one's teaching repertoire, nursery, and list of shower gifts for classicist friends."
